Built for Your Country'sTax Rules

Jurisdiction-specific calculations, holding period rules, and tax forms.

Crypto tax software that fits the country you file in

Doing crypto taxes by hand means stitching together trades from every exchange, transfers across every wallet, and rewards from every protocol, then pricing each one and applying rules that change from country to country. CryptaTax turns that into a few steps: connect your accounts, let the engine rebuild and classify your history, and export a report built for where you actually file.

Connect every exchange and wallet in one place

Your history is scattered by design: a few exchanges, a hardware wallet, some DeFi activity, maybe an NFT or two. CryptaTax pulls it all together. Connect exchanges by read-only API key or by uploading their export files, and add your public wallet addresses across 90+ chains. Every buy, sell, swap, transfer, and reward flows into one ledger, so nothing is left out of the picture at tax time.

Because wallet imports are read from public addresses and exchange keys are read-only, connecting an account never gives anyone the ability to move your funds. The goal is a complete record, not access to your assets.

Rebuild and clean up your transaction history automatically

Raw blockchain data is noisy. Transfers between your own wallets look like disposals, spam tokens clutter the list, and the same trade can appear on both an exchange export and an on-chain record. CryptaTax reconciles this for you: it matches internal transfers so they are not taxed as sales, removes duplicates, and flags spam so it does not distort your numbers.

Each transaction is then priced in your home currency at the moment it happened and classified as a disposal, a transfer, or income. That classified, priced ledger is the foundation every calculation is built on, and you can review and adjust it before anything is finalised.

Apply the right cost-basis rules for your country

The method used to work out a gain is set by law, and it differs everywhere. CryptaTax applies your country's rules automatically, whether that is FIFO, average-cost pooling like the UK's Section 104 or Canada's Adjusted Cost Base, or a portfolio-wide proportional calculation. Holding-period tests, allowances, and exemption thresholds are applied the same way, so a coin held long enough to qualify for relief is treated as such without you tracking dates by hand.

The result follows the rules where you file rather than a setting you have to get right yourself. Change your country and the engine recomputes on the correct basis. → See how tax differs by country

Export the forms you actually file

A number on a dashboard is not a tax return. CryptaTax produces the figures and forms your tax authority expects, mapped to the right boxes for your jurisdiction, ready to file yourself or hand to your accountant. Income from staking, mining, and airdrops is separated from capital gains, so each lands in the right place.

If you want to see where you stand before committing to a full report, the calculator gives you an estimate of gains and income from your history first. → Estimate your crypto taxes

Keep records that hold up

As more tax authorities receive data directly from exchanges, matching your own records to what platforms report is becoming part of filing, not an afterthought. CryptaTax keeps a full, timestamped history behind every figure, so if a question ever comes, the working is there. Compared with piecing spreadsheets together or leaning on other crypto tax tools that stop at a single country, the aim is one clean record that carries from import to filed return.
